"Baz taught me how to value my character's  space during plays and rehearsal  activities. It also taught me about using  a careful rhythm with my speech. I am  looking forward to putting what I learnt  into practise."
Hannah - Year 11 student

Baz Productions specialises in theatre that offers audiences unique experiences. Working in site-specific venues, developing and devising projects over long periods of time, we offer our audience the chance to experience theatre as active spectators. To support our upcoming devised production of Prophesy, Baz-Ed is working with students and teachers to share our methods of creating theatre projects from scratch.

We supply students and teachers with the skills needed to devise theatre projects and enough enthusiasm to carry them onwards. This workshop is adaptable for all levels from Yr10-13, but primarily supports the Edexcel A2 Unit 3 (Exploration of Dramatic Performance).

We also know that when equipped with the right tools every student has the capacity to create exciting drama - and experience just how fun it can be!

These practical workshops demonstrate how to:

  • Find and use stimulus materials
  • Research productively
  • Develop the aims and intentions of a piece
  • Identify the target audience
  • Make creative decisions including
    • Improvising characters
    • Structuring a piece

We are also pleased to offer a number of Teacher Consultancy days this year to support CPD.

Workshops are tailored to exact requirements to encourage team work and creativity. Participants will also be entitled to reduced group bookings to upcoming shows produced by Baz Productions and invited to attend Q&A sessions with the actors after performance.
